Art of fur rugs weavering arose in the North-West Chine. Then it widespread to another regions, and also for the places where lies the Great Silk Way. Traditional Chinese fur rugs are made of wool, but northerners added wool of goat and camel. Drawing on fur rugs thought up by weavers look like another artificial products. Very popular are images of lotto flower, clouds and different animals – real and mythical, such as dragon, phoenix, elephant, horse and bat. These drawings are rather sybmbolic then decorative and color, used in them indicate to elegancy and good taste. Fur rugs weavering art reached its high point in 16-18 centuries. Skilful weavers created complex geometrical drawings with balanced symmetry. Since the middle of last century industrialization of this branch began, but despite technical achievements and excellent quality control, industrial fur rugs stay far from beautiful rugs made using traditional skills. Now fur rugs are using demand and their production is continuing. Producers propose a great variety of drawings on their fur rugs.
