Hooked Rugs
Hooked rugs at first were weaved by indians of Northern America. Instruments used in weaving of hooked rugs are iron hooks and needles.
This tradition is continued by navajo and other indians tribes in reservations. They make hooked rugs not only for their own needs, but also for sale.
Now hooked rugs are the hobby for thousands of people.
Varied hooked rugs are created in the world everyday. In the most cases, hooked rugs have traditional size and texture. For the most part, they are rectangles. Colors which predominat are brown and red.
Some people prefer to collect hooked rugs, not to weave them by themselves.
That's why many collections of art appear in some places.
