Round Rugs
Round rugs at first were weaved by people living in the Northern and Far Eastern regions of Russia – evenks, comi, saami, chukchas and some others. Their masters keep art of fur processing, skill of dying fur and skin to different colors. Traditional round rugs are made of fur of deer, dog, polar fox, squirrel, beaver and many others.
Round rugs are produces without many variations – embroidery with beads and fur mosaic. Items are decorated by silk embroidery and white hair of deer or moose. Round rugs are often decorated by lavaliere of copper, brass and iron.

They made it from the skin of northern deer. It has gray or brown color. White skin of moose is used by evenks to polish their round rugs. White color is of great significance to evenks. Their fairy-tails and legends are connected with it. Northern round rugs keep soul of this people, their history and religion.
