Rugs Carpet

At the old times prices for carpets were extremely high. Only prosperous people could allow themselves to buy oriental rugs. In our days discounted area rugs became more and more widespread. The reason is that carpets are not produced by masters only. Mass production of rugs is organized in many countries.

Rugs carpet is artificial textile item (usually with many colored ornaments or images) made of wool, silk or cotton. There are rugs carpet of manually and machine (since the middle of nineteenth century) work. There are also weaved and sewn rugs carpet. The most famous are Persian, Chinese, Nepal and Turkish.

Weaving is different methods of fabrics making. There are two the most important cultures of weaving – culture of South and Central America before Spanish invasion on the West and Chinese culture on the East.

Rugs carpet were made not only at the East. Europe also has its own history of carpets making.

The most famous producers of rugs carpet are Balkan countries. But in 16 and 17 centuries European nobility highly appreciated eastern rugs carpet. From the point of view of merchants and critics process of making eastern carpets is less understandable that process of making of all other items of art.

Such types of rugs carpet can be separated: early carpets of Egypt, Turkish carpets, Persian, Indian and Tekin carpets.
